I am accessing Oracle table using SAS federation server. Some of my SAS Federation Server tables have columns with length 4000. Don't know how exactly that happened. I need to extract some data out of the tables including some fields having length 4000 or more.

My extract tool gives the following error:

ERROR: CLI prepare error: Column "XYZ" not found or cannot be accessed

I found out that column XYZ has length 4000. That can be the cause of the error.

Can anybody help to Identify the problem and solve it?

I'm not sure if I following your.

Are you using DI Studio to access Oracle data via a Federation Server library?

First, does it work in Federation Server (without eror)?

Have you tried to change the columns definition in Federation Server to match the actual lengths?

If not, I suggest that you open a ticket to SAS tech support so they can guide you through.
