I am write build a fixed length file and outputting using a put statement in a data step.
for ex: variable xyz at 20-30 position
put wyz 20-30;
it gives me error message "Width specified for format F is invalid". I checked for variable names and it is correct. Please advise.
Thanks,
APS

Share all of your DATA step code. Also, check your SAS variables in your file using PROC CONTENTS.
