I think the answer you are looking for is that the drop statement is only applicable to a SAS datastep. The drop dataset option can be used with a SAS procedure if the procedure has a data option.

Is that a question of some sort? 
Please don't use ALL CAPS unless you're trying to emphasize something specific, for example I use it to denote key words that refer to SAS specific topics but not for general text. It's typically considered the internet version of yelling.

IMHO,You need to learn and be aware of etiquette and style to ask or share your ideas with most appropriate questions rather than shallow statements and interview questions.
