Hi,
I wrote a code in 9.2 and recently got upgraded to 9.4. I am simply reading in a dataset from a library and creating a new in work (which worked perfectly in the 9.2). Now with 9.4, I am getting this error:
ERROR: Some character data was lost during transcoding in the dataset DATA.ATE. Either the
data contains characters that are not representable in the new encoding or truncation
occurred during transcoding
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Your new installation (most probably) has a different session encoding set than the old one.
See the inencoding and outencoding options for the libname statement, and see if they can help.
