After I installed SAS base 9.2 in Windows 7, the options menu for enhanced editor is in Japanese. All other menus are in english. In the editor the key back slash "\" types in symbol for yen. When I mingled with the menus I found out that the SAS System options / Environment control / Language control shows:

re-local the directory to D:\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\SASV9.CFG
Open it use Notepad, and change the following line
[pre]
-CONFIG "d:\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\nls\zh\SASV9.CFG"

to

-CONFIG "d:\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\nls\en\SASV9.CFG"
[/pre]

zh is to mean chinese version sas.
en is to mean english version sas.
