Hi All

Could someone tell me how can we trace the log when submit a code using the SQL Pass Thur execute statement.

I know there is options "SASTRACE" that only help for your implicit statements (even on teradata connections).

What do you want to trace?

If you use explicit pass-through, the code sent is exactly the code you choose.

when submit sql statement on dbms using the explicit pass thru execute statement , I would like to see the outcome of number of records being inserted and kind of sas log on execution phase of it. I know "execute" will perform the DML operations from SAS to any dbms.

Just trying to see if we could get more information on log about the step by step execution happens inside.

SASTRACE options can be using when you are creating or performing any manipulation on SQL front.
