Cannot import excel to SAS

proc import datafile='E:\source\xls\data2.xls' out=pp1 dbms=excel replace;
sheet='sheet1';
run;

9296 proc import datafile='E:\source\xls\data2.xls' out=pp1 dbms=excel replace;
9297 sheet='sheet1';
9298 run;

ERROR: Connect: Class not registered
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
Connection Failed. See log for details.
NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
NOTE: PROCEDURE IMPORT used (Total process time):
real time 0.23 seconds
cpu time 0.15 seconds

 

 

i have excel 2007 version and operating system windows 8.1 but i am not using SAS virtual machine or SAS studio i have installed SAS 9.4 setup but excel file is not importing in these it is showing above error then what to do to resolve this error?

No actually i have microsoft excel 2007 extension .xls file or SAS 9.4 so is it possible to import excel 2007 in SAS 9.4?
