Hi,

Why input buffer is created when we use data lines statement and if we get raw data from .txt file.

I need to clarify in which cases input buffer is created and in which cases input buffer is not create

Thanks.

An input buffer is created in a DATA step that has an INPUT statement.

Technically, there is always in input buffer when data is read. So you need to define what you understand as "input buffer".

Note: precise questions arrive at useful answers much quicker. See Maxim 42.

And why do you need to clarify that?
Datalines is just for demo/test purposes.
