Hi All,

 

I wanted to split my name or any name into 7 varaibles ,The below soluation is working fine ,but it is not working with numbers say i wanted slipt 1234567 into 7 differnet variables. Any help on this.

data newdata;
input Name$ ;
Array myarr (7)$ Name1-Name7;
do i = 1 to 7;
myarr (i)= substr(Name,i,1);
end;
datalines;
kanchan
;
run;
Proc Print data = newdata;
run;
