Just wondering if there was a central location for "Best Practices" for SAS Administrators.

For example, making a full system backup before applying hot fixes.

I know this information exists, but it seems to be scattered. Any thoughts?

I am running SAS 9.4 M3 on a Linux RHEL 6 box.

Here are some papers and web pages that list areas to review from a SAS Adminstration perspective. http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings14/SAS106-2014.pdf

But yes, making a backup of everything (including the operating system) before applying SAS fixes/patches/maintenance releases is an Administration best practice.

Please let us know if you have questions on any of the content of the above paper.

Cheers,

Margaret
