Can the SASMC console for windows 10 work with the SAS software on AIX

@fearnss - While SMC can work with any SAS 9 server on any OS, it is important that the SMC version and SAS server version match as close as possible. If the versions don't match then SMC displays a warning message when it first connects with the SAS server.

SAS Management Console is a platform-independent Java application which connects to a SAS Metadata Server, which is also available for multiple platforms (Windows, several brands of UNIX, z/OS). Any combination of SASMC and Metadata Server will work (as long as they're the same version).

You will need to request a software order from SAS via your account manager. The software order email contains a link for the download of a SAS Software Depot. This deopt will contain all of your licensed software including SAS Management Console.
You could also check with your SAS administrator in case they already have a SAS Software Depot you can install off.

Since it is java based is there a difference between the windows and Linux client?

The windowing environments will make for a slightly different look, but functionally both will be the same.
