As the message says, SAS installs only on the computer operating system it is designed for. If the install is for Windows 10 and you install on a Windows 7 or 8 machine you'll get this type of error. The install files and the computer installed on must match.
You may have an issue withe Windows 10 if Windows 7 emulation is enabled.

Thank you for the reply, it’s a brand-new laptop came with Windows 10 pre-installed, I did not do upgrade or downgrade.

What version (full with maintenance level). You need M3 or higher.
If you feel that your PC meet the system requirements, contact SAS tech support for the best guided trouble shooting.

Where/how did you obtain the copy of SAS software you are attempting to install?
Ideally you would connect to the SAS website using your SAS id, and download your licensed software as a SAS software depot.

At the risk of stating the obvious it looks like you've downloaded a version of SAS for, say, UNIX or LINUX and are trying to install it on a Windows 10 PC...

When installing SAS (or SAS components), always allow for sufficient time. Seeing "URGENT!" in a post dealing with a SAS installation tells me that there is a conceptual error. A planned SAS installation must never be urgent. A hotfix install might be urgent, but never an initial installation.
Edit: typo ("hat" --> "that")

I merged the double-post into one thread.
