Hi All,

This error has been haunting users and administrators - cannot seem to find any valid solution to this.  Have logged a ticket with SAS tech but they are trying to fob us off by blaming the deployment system.  Please Help!

OS Version: Windows 7 Enterprise x64

SAS Version: 9.3 x64

Overview:

- SAS 9.3 is deployed via SCCM

- Installation is successful accroding to the logs

- When SAS 9.3 x64 is executed by the user the error message comes up "OLE: Object's class in not registered in the registration database"

- Have tried to register the enhanced editor ocx file and failed

- cannot find how to reinstall 9.3 enhanced editor

Much appreciated!

Regards,

EJohn

Hi all,

i have managed to identify the issue thats causing SAS to throw an OLE DB error. SAS requires a set of Windows Components pre-installed before commencing SAS 9.3 x64 installation.  Please find link:

Thanks Shiva,

Unfortunately i cannot find the following setup file as i am working on the SAS depot install.  Still waiting for the original install media - and hopefully the editor setup is there.
