I have over 90 postgres.exe processes running on my SAS box, running from the SASWebInfrastructurePlatformDataServer\9.4\bin folder.  Can anyone help me understand what they are used for and why there would be so many?

Thanks-

It's the way postgres works, every open connection gets a separate process. There was a slightly different question, but with the same root cause a little while ago.

Ahh, thank you.  I'll see about the shut down of the web application server to see if they go away.

Thanks!

Excellent question @Laura_NCEMC, and thanks @dpage for the answer. Lately I am experiencing this is becoming a recurrent question.
