Hello,

I was trying to install SAS EG 5.1 onto a machine with Windows 7 64-bit. When I launched setup, it told me that Java SE binary had stopped working and setup closed.  I have checked to make sure that java is up to date on the machine, and even tried loading a previous version of java that worked on other machines but I continue to get the same error.

I am by no means an expert in installing SAS, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

What version of Java / JRE do you have installed? It's possible you have a version which does not work with EG:

http://support.sas.com/kb/43/491.html

JRE 1.6.0_24 is the officially supported version for SAS 9.3 / EG 5.1.
