For SAS 9.4M9 customers looking to do an upgrade in place (UIP) with Federation Server 4.6 on Unix based systems, please read on.   

 

When using the SAS Deployment Wizard to upgrade interactively, during the SAS Federation Server configuration step you will see a configuration failure popup that states that configuration failed because the SAS Federation Server has not started. This popup can be resolved by clicking the "Retry" button. We are working to resolve this issue. If you experience additional issues during configuration of SAS Federation Server 4.6 UIP, please contact SAS Technical Support.
