very sorry for the missing replies.

To close the segnalation i would inform you that the problems seems to be a bug.

I use VA 7.1, when the mentioned messagge appears, I need to disconnect the current SAS VA users and login again.

Hi all,

my certificate of HTTPS for SAS site is expired.

Actually i'm using SAS 9.4 ( TS1M2 ) and VA 7.1.

Could I receive some information about the procedure to follow please ?

I found the procedure for the first installation of certificates ( http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/bimtag/68217/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n0nakjyj6hlqmvn11p9p04l25j9n.htm ) but.... I really have to do it all ? I met a lot of difficulties !!!

Hi everybody !

I' m doing a small report which aggregate the revenue of different category of people. The category is managed with a Hierarchy.

A row of the dataset ( an output of a query ) is composed by

OFFICE NAME, SURNAME, CODE CATEGORY A, CODE CATEGORY B, REVENUE

Category B is a "subset" of Category A.

My problem is :

if I do a hierarchy with SURNAME, CODE CATEGORY A, CODE CATEGORY B, REVENUE the report is good.

if I do a hierarchy with Office Name, CODE CATEGORY A, CODE CATEGORY B, REVENUE the report is worng and on the report I receive an error. It's translation is : Impossible to find a column referenced from the query.

I attached a screen-shot .

Can you suggest me how avoid this problem ?

thanks a lot for your answers.

From your precious answers i can recap these logical steps:

1) rename the old variable

2) create a new variable with right format

3) put into the new variable the value of the old variable

4) drop the old variable

I still have difficult to understand how do this on my scenario: I have X dataset which are used from X query into Visual Analytics.

The dataset is created by a script like the following one which read values from a csv and write ( in append mode ) on a dataset :

If i do a a simply Select * from SAS compiler like the following one, i receive ERROR: La Libref MyLybrary is not assigned into the log

So just to do the first step..... What i wrong ?

CHAR to NUMERIC

Hi,

i have to do a simply ( still not for me ) modify on an existing dataset.

I would change the format of a column from CHAR to NUMERIC.

Searching into SAS library, i seen the INPUT statement which i used to set a new column. Actually I don't know how to modify an existant column.

Can someone help me ?

i have the same error but i can't open the report ( so i can't "save as" it ).
