Hi,

Sorry for late response.

Macros has been updated in autoexec file of Batch server (not in Workspace or Stored Process server). I have rectified the issue by included the SAS users/groups in the SASApp --> logical Grid sever and in Grid Options Set Mappings.

But one thing I need to understand in 9.4 platform. So whenever I update the autoexec file under Batch server , I wont restart the object spawner.

But recently did one change in autoexec file under Stored Process server and it requires restart of Object spawner services and then I can able to access the macros.

Whether the same case of Workspace server as well???

SAS ODBC connection to SQl Server

Hi,

I have a requirement to connect to SQL Server database from SAS. So Before editing the odbc.ini, I have checked whether the SQL server database and port are opened from SAS servr.

cat < /dev/tcp/<Server_name>/<Port_no>.

And I haven't got connection refused output. So the database and port are opened in SQL server database and I think I can able to establish the connection.

Then I have edited the odbc.ini file and created a DSN. And created a SQL Server library in SAS SMC.

But while accessing the database , I have got a error that Connection refused ,verify hostname and port number .

Can anybody help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Just need to understand , how the user restriction for LSF to be defined in SMC.

Currently there are two users I have created in SMC. After scheduling the flow in SMC and in flow manager , I want one of the user can re run the job in LSF/flow manager and I don't want another user to re run the job if there is a failure. I want this user to view the login to flowmanager and view the schedule.

Is there any group already defined in SMC for this specific requirement?

Thank in Advance.

Today there was a strange issue in my Platform Process manager.

I tried to execute the job and the job got failed in the environment i.e. in Platform Process Manger.

When I'm checking the logs, there were no errors in the log and even the data has been loaded into destination as expected.

What could be a potential reason for showing exit in Platform Process manager. Thanks in advance

I have to connect to DB2 database from SAS 9.4. Previously we have used odbc.ini file for the connection in older version of sas.

For Most of the days, the append is consuming less amount of time for 33 crores record (approx 8 mins) , but specifically on Monday, the proc append step consuming around 01 hr 15 mins. Im not sure about the reason for this high difference.

Hi,

Usually we will develop our SAS DI Job in Development Envrionment and then we will move to UAT and Prod Envrionment.

But during testing, we will change the code in UAT and sometime in Dev and then we will migrate to Prod.

Now all the Environments are not in Sync. I have a requirement to compare the codes available in all the Environments.

Usually the codes are having more than 1000 lines and Its really tough to compare the codes manually.

Is there any possible ways to compare the codes automaically?? Please advise.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Let me try out the script when the issue persists again..Hopefully, it should not 🙂

We are migrating to 9.4 and will be completed soon.

So, that means there is no fix for this issue. Every time , we have to restart the application, if the issue occurs.
