Hi all,

I have a dataset with a seemingly normal string type category in SAS VA (it contains first and last name of employees, separated by a space). Somehow this category is assigned the $hex format. I cannot change it and it makes the category useless in the report since it displays the content in hexadecimal format.

Can anyone share some insights on this?

many thanks!

dual axis line bar chart combined with stacking in stead of clustering

Hi,

normally when I use a regular bar chart I use the 'grouping' option to stack category items. Now I need a dual axis line bar chart . I have created one using the custom chart option, and replaced 'clustering' with ' stacking ' in the bar chart properties. However, when I use this chart in a report, the category cannot be added to a grouping option. Is there another way to do this?

Thanks for your input

Hi,

We've been trying the theme designer out a few days now and notice a mismatch between the applied theme settings in a report and the theme itself in the theme designer: we keep seeing a red colour in scroll bar and the slider object, even though this colour is not applied anymore in the theme. It was there in a previous deployed version, but not in the latest deployed one.

Also we noticed when applying the custom theme as default theme in sas va preferences, theme settings are visible in current reports, but the theme setting in the report itself is still on 'SAS light'. When manually selecting the custom theme in the report as well, it seems like another subset of the theme settings are in effect.

Is it by design to keep the theme setting to 'SAS light' in the report? It seems confusing. Why is a part of the custom theme settings available via the default theme setting and another part of the same custom theme via the theme selector in the report itself?

Hi,

I would like to realise the following:

In section 1 there's a crosstable. This will be filtered by 4 dropdowns, 1 interacting with 2, interacting with 3 ect. The drop downs are in a container in the same section as the crosstable. The filter settings of section 1 also have to apply to the contents in the list table in section 2. Therefore I added an interaction between the cross table and the list table. All fine so far, no errors. The 4 dropdowns filter each other and also the cross tab. However: section 2 is showing no data and I can't find a relevant 'drill down on section link' menu item in the cross tab, like I have found before in other chart types like bar chart etc.

- Am I overlooking something?

- Is what I want possible?

- Should I go about this another way?

THanks!

But when I also click on dropdown10 to filter sectors, the whole thing gets confused: I notice that drop down 9 is not filtering 10 eerste onderzoeken anymore. When opening the mapping of the interaction I see it's now same as the mapping from drop down10, namely sector category.

Hope this clarifies some!

THanks!

Hi,

I am working on a dashboard (report) that has 2 dropdown filters on the canvas, in order to define an interaction between them. One contains the Year category, the other one organisational structure . Reason is that in 2013 the organisational structure differs form that in 2014. I got this working.

Now I want to define interactions between the 2 drop downs with charts in the reports. I manage to add the interactions, but somehow the mapping settings of both drop downs seem to interact. The end result is that both interactions have the same mapping for either year or sector, resulting in one disfunctional dropdown filter. Both dropdown filters are based on the same data source.

Has anyone experienced this also? Is my construction not feasible? Is there another way?

Many thanks..

PS: using sas va 6.4m
