Does this transparent approach uncover ways to game the system?
Yes, greater transparency about how credit scores are calculated could lead some people to "game the system" — for example, by timing payments or managing credit limits to temporarily boost scores without addressing underlying financial stability. However, this knowledge can also help responsible borrowers improve their scores through informed, positive behaviours.

How can lenders continue to identify creditworthy applicants?
Lenders can improve accuracy by combining credit scores with additional data, such as income history, savings patterns, employment stability, and spending behaviour. They can also use machine learning models to assess long-term financial habits rather than just surface-level credit score manipulations.

Do corporate management objectives help employees game the system?

Do exam results help student game their year end grades?

Providing feedback that changes behavior is not a cheating. Only when the credit score inputs were intentionally false would one be able to say that someone had gamed the system.

Some banks in Mexico offer finance educations to their clients. They provide insights and best practices to use credit and savings services. This approach helps their clients to trust the process to request a credit card or a loan from their banker.
