Statistical significant differences between two different variables

Hello all,

I am new in statistics and sas, so I will try to make my question as clear as possible.

I need to find the statistical significant differences between two different variables in the same dataset for each treatment level.

I used the proc compare but i am taking just the differences between the values.

Any idea what command to use to run a post hoc test between two different variables

You cannot test whether or not two variables are statistically different, but you can test if statistics computed from those variables are different.

Are you referring to mean differences, standard deviation differences, or something else?

Is it matched observations?
if it is not ,then use proc ttest
if it is ,then use proc univariate
