Robin High wrote several excellent papers about analyzing count data by using PROC NLMIXED. He has many examples, including ZINB models.

Greetings all,

I request examples and NLMIXED codes to help ZINB (Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial) outcomes in two correlated datasets: 1) 215 persons clustered in 42 neighorhoods and 2) 238 mothers assessed at three waves in a longitudinal randomized controlled trial.

I tried these codes below and contacted authors with related publications which I found in PubMed. I could not find good examples to help me write NLMIXED codes for two correlated datasets.
https://stats.oarc.ucla.edu/sas/code/zero-inflated-poisson-and-negative-binomial-using-proc-nlmixed/

https://stats.oarc.ucla.edu/?s=ZERO-INFLATED+NEGATIVE+

Thank you. Sincerely! Happy Holidays!
Qing
