topic macro for GEE in version 13.1? or is one obtainable? in Statistical Procedures

We are running sas/stat version 13.1 and need to do a GEE analysis. From the documentation i see that gee was added as an experimental procedure in 13.2 and as a 'regular' procedure in 14.1. I understand that upgrading is the real solution but this is a university-system wide contract installation so probably not an option. Somebody here suggested looking around for a legacy macro. If there is such a thing, how would i go about finding it?

Thanks, Gene Maguin

Prior to the release of Proc GEE, you could fit a GEE model using the REPEATED statement in GENMOD. Both procedures implement the standard generalized estimating equation approach for longitudinal data; this approach is appropriate for complete data or when data are missing completely at random (MCAR). When the data are missing at random (MAR), the weighted GEE method produces valid inference and you must use the new Proc GEE

No, GEE is available with the REPEATED in PROC GENMOD. It is not experimental. You are thinking of PROC GEE, which was introduced in 13.2 as described in this note.
