topic surveylogistic BRR Fay adjustment in Statistical Procedures

Hello, I'm working with the TUS-CPS data and the data manual informs me that using SUDAAN the appropriate Fay adjustment factor is 4. However, using SAS the Fay adjustment factor needs to be a number between 0-1 with .5 used as the default. Does anybody know how to convert the 4 using SUDDAN to the 0-1 Fay adjustment factor range for SAS analysis?

proc surveylogistic VARMETHOD=BRR (FAY=);
REPWEIGHTS srepwt001-srepwt160;
model...
run;

Thank you.

In SUDAAN you specify a term called ADJFAY. ADJFAY=(1/(1-k)^2) where k is the Fay factor.

Setting ADJFAY equal to 4 and solving for k gives a value of k=.5.

Use k=.5 with SAS, assuming they want you to specify the actual FAY factor: e.g. where k corresponds to the value used to multiply some of the weights and 2-k is the value used to multiply the other weights.
