Survival analysis for recurrent event data (PROC LIFETEST)

Hello everyone,

I want to conduct survival analysis for recurrent events (i.e. when an event can occur multiple times for each subject). Now, I want to create survival curves (i.e., Kaplan Meier curves). However, PROC LIFETEST does not allow to incorporate recurrent events. So, I was wondering if there is any procedure/option in SAS that can resolve this issue.

Side note: I can convert my data from SAS to R, and then use "survrec" package in R. However, my data is extremely large (45 GB). So, to the best of my knowledge, using this large size dataset would be almost impossible in R.

Thank you for any thoughts/feedback!
