Hi,

I am using SAS Web Report Studio 3.1. I need to export a report in xls format. I am able to export individual tables or graphs in xls via the export functionality, however when I export the compete (all tables and graphs in the report ) report I am asked to save a .zip file. This when opened throws errors saying missing files and excel is empty.

Please advise way out.

You must extract the files before you can open them. Please see this SAS note for more details: 32241 - When exporting a report from SAS® Web Report Studio, you must extract the files before you can use them

Hi,

I have the below issues -

1. After export to xls if the report contains many charts they tend to overlap each other and the formatting of headers for those charts is also changed.

2. The values for a cross tab are appearing in a different format when viewed in excel. However when the table is separately exported the original format as seen in Web Report Studio is retained.

Kindly advise solutions to the above?

The first issue is explained in 30964 - Visually complex SAS® Web Report Studio reports might display overlapping images in Microsoft Excel . The workaround is to open the report directly using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office.

The second issue could be different things depending on your release of Web Report Studio. Here are some related SAS notes:

40407 - Understanding how SAS® Web Report Studio exports formats for measures and dimensions

32182 - User-defined formats are not exported from SAS® BI Web applications to Microsoft Excel

52633 - Some values exported from SAS® Web Report Studio to Microsoft Excel might incorrectly include a minus sign
