topic How can I post a link to a particular report within WRS? in SAS Web Report Studio

Our team often get requests to assist in building reports.

When we end up building the report for the user, it would be handy to reply back to the user requesting the report with a URL to the report itself in stead of "Go to this folder, and open the report called <SUCH and="" such="">".

Is this possible, and if so how?</SUCH>

In WRS 4.2 (not sure about previous versions) you can select File / E-mail. This will send a URL of the report to whomever you specify.

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/citug/61084/HTML/default/p0pek9xbqgt0gin1iaoaqmo9q9y2.htm

Is that what you're looking for?

Yep - that's what I wanted. Only we're on 9.1.3 and therefore WRS version 3.1 😞

There are some tricks in 3.1 that you can do. Maybe email the pdf so the user can quickly view the results that you are referring to?

The SAS Paper:

http://www2.sas.com/proceedings/forum2008/064-2008.pdf

Provides some interesting steps to distributing reports from Web Report Studio to elsewhere in your environment.

(But at least you have 1 more reason to push towards a 9.2 / 4.2 implementation 🙂 )
