does anyone know how I can use a prompt creatwed within Info Map Studio within the expression for a new data item in the info map? If I reference the prompt (e.g. &Area) within the expression I get an error on validation.

You might be able to get this to work by using the following syntax in the expression.

<<root.prompt_name>>

e.g. <<root.Start_Date>>

Another option uses a stored process, as explained in this SAS note: http://support.sas.com/kb/40/379.html
