We've come across the same problems in SAS VA today as well, with the addition of not being able to tick more than one filter at a time in a prompt container without closing the container first in Report Viewer.

On the report designer issues, I can click and drag another item into the report (object or data) after deleting an object in the report (has to be deleted, won't work if cancel out of that dialog)

Latest release of Adobe Flash Player (26.0.0.126) causes problems with Designer and Data Builder

http://support.sas.com/kb/60/624.html

Update (July 26, 2017): Adobe has released a fix for this issue. You can update your Flash Player from version 26.0.0.126 to version 26.0.0.131 or later. When you have upgraded to 26.0.0.131 or later, you should no longer experience the various problems described in this post. To update your Flash Player, see http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

For the latest fix information, see http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/.

SAS Visual Analytics applications might behave unexpectedly when running on Adobe Flash Player 26.0.0.126, which was released on June 13, 2017.

Here are just some of the problems that you might encounter.

In SAS® Visual Analytics Designer, you might experience the following behavior:

Inability to drag and drop data items from the Data pane to an object in the report canvas. You see a red X when trying to drop the data item into a report object.

Inability to drag and drop report objects from the Objects pane to the report canvas. You see a red X when trying to drop the report object into the report canvas.

Inability to scroll on objects that contain a scroll bar.

Inability to rearrange report objects in the report canvas.

In SAS® Visual Data Builder, you might experience the following behavior:

Inability to select columns from a table for a data query.

Inability to scroll in the query window.

In the classic version of SAS® Visual Analytics Viewer, you might experience the following behavior:

Inability to select prompt values in a prompt container.

This issue occurs in SAS Visual Analytics 7.4 and earlier releases. In addition, this issue occurs with any supported browser including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.

I'm also facing the same problem with Data Builder, unable to select the Table, Column and any other drag events.

I've installed the Adobe Flash Player v17 and still issue is persisting.

Any updates to resolve this would be very helpful.

We've worked around problem for now by uninstalling latest Flash, installing version 25 from https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html, and using Firefox.

This has allowed SAS VA via Firefox to work as normal, but you can't force Chrome (and possibly IE) to use a previous version.

As well as the Firefox solution using v25.x of NPAPI flash player and 'Precision' workaround.

I also note that uninstalling Windows update KB4022730 (on Windows 10) reverts IE11's and Edge's flash player to v22.0.0.0209.

This also appears to workaround the issue (although I accept that it may not be desirable to go back to such an early version of the flash player for many).

Note that Microsoft hasn't yet signed/approved the release for IE and Edge on Windows 8 and 10 (and apparently also relevant for Windows Server 2012). The impact also seems to occur in the current release 26.0.0.120 on these environments.
