Hi,

you can read the following blog entry, it is great.http://blogs.sas.com/content/sgf/2014/05/14/finding-and-deleting-orphaned-sas-work-and-sas-utility-directories/

Basically, if you don;t need the work (temporary) data, the best practice is to run this tool on a daily basis. This tool will always clean the work directories that are not in use anymore. The ones with an active session, they will remain in the disk.

I hope this helps!

best regards,

i was recently watching a video on how to run the disk cleanup utility on windows server install of VA 7.3

this folder (sas work folder) currently has 73 folders dating back to the install of the product 2 months ago.

does this folder self maintain or do people remove folders older than x days old?

what is the best practice for keeping the work folder clean?

or do i just leave it alone?

thanks
