How to load data from Oracle with date filters.

Hi,

I am new to SAS VA. I am trying to create a crosstab by loading data from an oralce table. But my source table has more than 50 million records that belong to the past 10 years. But, I dont want to pull all the data into my SAS VA server. I would like to load the data for the past 6 months only.

Could anyone help me, how to load the data with filters.

The easiest would be to define the filter in the Data Builder interface.

Another option would be to pre-process data in a SAS batch program, and store store the intermediate table in a staging area, or in a SASHDAT location (if you are in distributed environment).
