Good day, SAS VA guru's.

I want to provide the option for users to view trends at either the fiscal, quarterly, or monthly level ((noting that SAS does not recognize our fiscal year (Apr 01 - Mar 31) and associated quarters)). Based on the user selection, the graph would display annual, quarterly,, or monthly trends. Please help!

Hello,

What you can do is add a control to your report that sets the value of a parameter, and then create a calculated item that returns a different column based on the value of the parameter using IF/ELSE logic.

Essentially, "if parameter equals Month, return Month; else if parameter equals Quarter return Quarter" and so on.

This post uses a very old version of VA, but the same principles apply:

https://blogs.sas.com/content/sgf/2016/04/27/use-parameters-to-pick-your-metric-in-visual-analytics-reports/
