Create dashboard with current month metric and % change from prior month

Hi: I have a report and I am trying to create a dashboard with current month metric and % change from prior month. I was using the Key Value for a clean look but now I am using a Text box.

The issue seems to be the calc . I am trying to use the 'treat as' and display the number in the box. Cabn't seem to get it to work.

Again I would want two metrics: Current Month voulume and % Change from previous month. I don't want a list table or cross tab.

The other issue is the filters at the top will also cause errors with the metric so I have to somehow disassociate them.
