hello,

I have ana issue with a total of two averege numbers ( calculeted in time hh:mm:ss ) in the table bellow :

Category	Averege delay
A	176:32
B	53:42
	Total: 158:06

I do not understand how SAS VA calculated the total (158:06) of the two categories,

Can you please explain me how it's calculated in SAS VA ?

The values you've posted don't look like formatted as hh:mm:ss

Anyhow: The total average will be the sum of all the values belonging to either category divided by the total number of rows

...and if the number of rows differs between category A and category B then the total average is of course NOT (avg A+avg B)/ 2 ...which I suppose is what confuses you.
