Add a reference point on geomaps

Hello!

I've created a Geomap that plots a bubble for each client according to their address, but I wanted to add a specific bubble (or a marker) to identify the store they had an order.

There are 2 different stores, and I've added a filter to select only one each time:

Is there a feature on this type of object? The table I used for this dashboard already have the coordinates for the store.

I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but maybe Geo Network (Type: Hierarchical) would do the trick? I have two Reference points with links to Clients.

Is this something that you are looking for?

How do you create this Geo Network? Is it just a Hierarchy?

I've tried creating one and it doesn't seem to be the correct way.

Could you show me the way you did it?

Sure,

This is how my data looks like:

Notice that I have one hierarchy defined as: Reference Point -> Customer

The object I use is called Geo network in VA8.5. In VA8.3 you can use Network Analysis object. You get the map to background from Options -> Network Display -> Network Diagram -> Map background = checked.

The only data role you need is to assign the hierarchy you created to Levels.

Then I manually created coloring rules for Reference Points:

I think that was it. Please ask if you get stuck at any point.

I made all the configurations you specified, but the links are not showing 😞

I saw that there's an option of the link direction, and even after I activate it, nothing happens.

Just to wrap up all the things I've done:

Created a hierarchy

Setted it as a level

Activated the map background

Created the custom rules for the reference points

Have I missed any step?

It seems you performed a drill down to level 2 of your hierarchy - as such you will only see nodes on that level. If you want to see both levels (and related link between) - go to the top level (you can use the top level breadcrumb) and make sure the 'additional level' slider in the options panel is at least set to 2.
