ESRI web maps in SAS Visual Analytics 7.4

Hi All,

I have added ESRi web map link in my SMC, Still getting the below error, When I am opening preferences in VA.

Hi,

SAS Visual Analytics 7.4 does not support Esri Web Maps. It does support Esri map services and you can configure properties such as SASGeomapEsriURL as described in http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/vaag/69958/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n1oaashorywocun10c5epp8z9r97.htm#n11i9fllwzrlaen13y64rh49xh4s. Note, you can reference an Esri server (ArcGIS for Server, 10.1 or later) and only Esri maps published using the WKID (well-known ID) format are supported. The error in your first response may indicate a wrong or invalid url in this property. Make sure the URL points to the /rest/services endpoint of the target Esri server. You may also have to configure property sas.web.cdps.knownHosts to allow communication to external servers.

Starting with VA 8.x you could also utilize a special Esri WebMap content as described in https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/ESRI-web-maps-in-SAS-Visual-Analytics-8-2-now-available-on/ta-p/464884 to embed web maps into your reports.

I have configured property sas.web.cdps.knownHosts as

http://opnsta.sas.com/,http://opnstb.sas.com/,http://opnstc.sas.com/,http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services

But Still getting the same error.
Can you figure out my mistake?

It has been a little while since I last configured such system - but I believe the sas.web.cdps.knownHosts property only takes actual host names. So try http://server.arcgisonline.com instead http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services. You will also need to restart the web application server to let the changes take affect.

Can I assume you configured http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services as value for property va.SASGeomapEsriURL?

If you are still experience problems - check out related SAS Note http://support.sas.com/kb/57/044.html. If that doesn't help - I would get in touch with SAS Technical Support. They have experience with such configuration settings and can quickly point you to the right option.
