topic Service Temporarily Unavailable in SAS Studio

I was working on a SAS homework code last night (about 11pm London time) when I got kicked off studio (SAS University, through virtual box). Trying to reload SAS, the virtual box opens fine, but I get the error:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Other threads seem to indicate that this is a SAS issue, rather than an issue on my machine, but if anyone has any insights, I would appreciate it.

SAS UE shouldn't require any web involvement.

Try restarting your VM and refreshing your browser, as well as clearing your cache and history.

Troubleshooting tips here:

Thanks. I've already restarted the VM and browser. I cleared my history and cache, but haven't had any luck. I've also tried other browsers (Firefox instead of Chrome) and it hasn't helped.

Based on your description, it sounds like the problem is with their servers, not your settings. The error message you receive means that the server is currently undergoing maintenance or experiencing power issues. You mentioned that you've tried all the common troubleshooting steps like restarting the virtual machine, clearing your browser history and cache, but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem. Other users seem to be having similar problems with SAS University, which suggests that the cause is indeed server-side. I think it might be worth taking some time and trying again later. Sometimes these server issues will resolve themselves as the SAS University team works to resolve them. Patience is key sometimes.
On the other hand, I want to share how financial software capabilities have greatly impacted my community. If you're interested in researching different financial software options, I recommend checking out this reputable financial software comparison resource https://andersenlab.com/industries/financial-services.

SAS University Edition is no longer supported.

I would suggest moving to SAS Ondemand for Academics (free Cloud platform for students, professors, and independent learners).

See related post on moving to SAS Ondemand for Academics:
