SAS University Edition--- unable to connect

I have been using SAS University Edition through Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager the last few months, and it has been working just fine. However today, no matter what I do, it will not connect to http://localhost:10080. I have followed all the steps on the troubleshooting page including checking the SAS University Edition configurations, clearing my brower, trying a new browser, re-setting internet configurations, making sure the network connection was enabled, re-installing the virtualization software and re-downloading SAS Univerisity... but it still will not connect. It was working without problem two days ago when I last used it. Does anyone have any other suggestions? What could have possiblly changed on my computer in the last two days?

Did the VM get updated? There have been issues with updates to the VM at certain releases breaking UE.

Which version VM is currently running?

It looks like the VM was updated on 18-October. It is now running version 5.1.8

So it looks like that could be the problem...

Do you know if there is anything I can do to work around this?
