Proc Append 'Libref X not assigned' error

Hi, I'm attempting to run Proc Append for the first time. I'm running into an error. Would you be able to help?

The SAS database I'm trying to append to is located in 'myfolders' (within the SASUniversityEdition folder); the file is mailer_database.sas7bdat

Syntax:

PROC APPEND BASE=dm.MAILER_DATABASE DATA=ENTRY_LVL ;

RUN;

Log error:

Libref DM is not assigned

Is the library assigned?

Libraries don't stay between session unless you've specifically enabled them.

Hi, I'm not sure if the library is assigned. What would be example syntax?

Use
libname _all_ list;
to list all assigned libraries.
