&lt;P&gt;I do not know the&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;SAS OnDemand for Academics&lt;/EM&gt; offering, but maybe you can override that system option :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the SAS configuration file or at SAS invocation.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Like :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\sas.exe -RLANG&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To see if it was a success, submit :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;CODE class=" language-sas"&gt;proc options option=RLANG;
run;&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Afaik SAS OnDemand is available to learn sas, so this could be seen as valid reason for noRlang. But to learn using R inside a sas session, it would be really useful to enable the option. Most likely the users can't enable the option, creating a software ballot seems to be a good idea.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
