      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i'm trying to format a day in the week as "14Jul2011" and use a macro variable to write a code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know how to format it as '14Jul2011'd but looking for a way to automate this for the date to be convertered automatically when the code is run.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am a new user to SAS and my knowledge is limited.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there an easier way to format the date?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help is much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;cheers, &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
