    <description>&lt;P&gt;I believe these notes began showing in recent releases of SAS 9 that can integrate with SAS Viya, which does support VARCHAR.&amp;nbsp; But I can see that if you're just using SAS 9 as you always have, these notes are not needed and can be a distraction. I've found some internal notes that confirm there&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;is not&lt;/STRONG&gt; a way (currently) to suppress the note.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It has been entered/tracked as a feature request.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm using proc import to read in XLSX files. I get lots of these notes in the log. Can I suppress them without turning all notes off?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
