    <description>&lt;P&gt;im new to stats and SAS (student) so would you mind elaborating on what the values should be and what should remain unchanged in the formula?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;eg is y for y axis variable? what needs to be subbed into b1 or abs (if anything)? etc&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;  proc nlp;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Y is the name of your response variable.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;X is the name of your predictor variable.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the SAS data set that contains your data has different variable names, then you substitute the actual variable names in place of X and Y.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
