None, other than using a DATA step approach, handcoded, where you rename one set of variables, and use a MERGE with a BY statement. PROC COMPARE is quite powerful, so I recommend you use that approach.
hi,

I am working on a class project which requires comparing several variables among two data sets. I have got a master file and updated file with different salary, job code, and job description. I noticed PROC Compare procedure being used to perform this operation. Is there other procedure besides this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!
