This code below copies all 71 datasets from the main warehouse library to a backup library, with the following naming convention "MmmYYbkp".
Why am I getting the No output destinations active, warning?

/*** TAKES ONE HOUR AND SEVEN MINUTES TO RUN. ***/
/*** CHANGE LIBNAME AND COPY OUT= STATEMENTS BELOW
TO THE CORRECT LIBRARY YOU WANT TO COPY TO. ***/

libname Oct09bkp "\\ccsas1\blc_whse\Jesse\Backup Oct2009 Datasets ";
proc datasets library=whse ;
copy out=Oct09bkp ;
run;
Odd that you are not curious about why you are getting the message in the first place. Within your SAS program, there is likely an ODS command that has failed and you have some other message(s) being generated or you have short-circuited the SAS log output destination.

In some cases this warning could be accurate

'no output destination active' can really mean what it says.

It could happen if you work with ODS, closing a destination without opening a new one

for eg;

ods listing close;

proc datasets [...] would produce such a warning.

Solution: open a destination...

ODS listing;

proc datasets [...]

Cheers,

Olivier
