topic Can we draw a RELREC between CO and SV domains? in SAS Health and Life Sciences

Hi All,

I have data where there are comments given for Planned visits in SV domain, so as per the SDTM IG, moved these comments to CO domain. My question is can we relate CO and SV domain in RELREC with linking variable (VISITNUM) for these comments ? or would it be redundant. CO is in itself a kind of relationship domain, would it lead to further confusion if we do so? Also, not just with SV. if there are comments for PE, RP domain and we are moving these to CO domain. Can we have a RELREC relation for CO-PE , CP-RP?

Co domains doesn't need a relrec, you can relate the particular domain to CO domains using IDVAR and IDVARVAL in CO domain.

For e.g if you need to relate a record to CO domain, you ca use IDVAR as VISITNUM and IDVARVAL as its value.
