Controlling the Drawing Space

Hello Community,

As you know, we have amazing control over most aspects of ODS Graphics. For the SG Annotate capabilities, we can specify the drawing space to identify the position and scaling we want for "the X or Y axes individually, or for both axes." I get why we would want to be able to specify, say, DATAPERCENT for the X axis and DATAVALUE for the Y axis. In the ARROW and LINE functions, though, we can specify X1SPACE differently from X2SPACE. I am having a hard time picturing when we would want to do that. And also why wouldn't the default for X2SPACE be whatever X1SPACE is? I'm sure it's a feature. Just wondering what feature it is.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm probably missing something obvious.

As an example I gave in a paper years ago (http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings11/277-2011.pdf, pgs. 13-14), you might want the origin of the arrow to be positioned at some percentage location of the graph, but have the actual arrow pointing at a data location.
