Is it possible to create a separate file containing just the legend from a bar chart (created in SGPANEL)? I need to separate the legend (i.e. the key) from the chart for submission to an on-line journal. The plot itself needs to be TIFF but the legend presumably needs to be in Word. Could I use GREPLAY?

Thanks Sanjay- but I only have 9.22! Is it possible to do something similar in that?

Yes, I don't think this is limited to SAS9.3. I used SAS 9.3 to do the custom legend items. However, you could let the plot build the legend as usual. Don't set the marker size to zero, instead make the marker x or y value missing. Then, the legend will still be created, but no markers will draw.
