    <description>&lt;P&gt;Text or Scatter with Markerchar can be used to draw text inside the plot data area. &amp;nbsp;To draw text outside the plot area, you will need to use annotate. &amp;nbsp;The SG annotate functions get scripted as DRAWTEXT statements in the generated GTL.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Two other options that may be useful:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;SYMBOLCHAR or TEXT statement in PROC SGPLOT&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I like those because then I'm dealing with a single dataset but it really depends on what you're trying to do.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
