If you have some specific challenge or SAS error, post related info to the appropriate SAS Discussion Forum, with sufficient detailed information about your SAS programming objective, any SAS log / error diagnostics, and if pertinent, a view of what data-points you are providing your SAS program (a sample should suffice) and what you would like to see generated.
I'm a student at SUNY Buffalo having the most frustrating time with SAS for my masters thesis. does anyone know of some kind of live support for sas code?
I feel like I basically know what I'm doing but there is always some small sas technicality that I miss and waste hours trying to figure out. my teachers are too busy to help. as well as fellow students. i have the little sas book and it also doesn't seem to help either. I've taken one course on sas- also not very helpful. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to help me? the procedures that i'm doing are pretty basic but its just ordering the code and putting data in the right place that I have trouble with.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could want to try SAS help:

http://support.sas.com/onlinedoc/913/docMainpage.jsp

Something similar also here:
http://www.sfu.ca/sasdoc/sashtml/proc/index.htm

There you can find the right order how to arrange your code.

You may want to use SAS tech support as well:

http://support.sas.com/techsup/contact/

SAS tech support is provided for free with your site's SAS license -- and yes, they have entire teams dedicated to helping customers get their SAS Foundation code running. If you have some funding for your masters (ah, wouldn't that be nice?) I can highly recommend taking a course from SAS, either in person or Live Web:

http://support.sas.com/training/index.html

I have many students who tell me that they took a SAS class in college, but the one they took from us really helped them work through problems that they were stuck on for months. I would recommend Programming 1, Programming 2, or Stat 1 depending on your needs and experience level.
